I arrived in the great hall not long before the sorting ceremony begun. I think we got quite some smart Ravenclaws this year. After the sorting hat was taken away, Dumbledore said some words. He told us there wasn't going to be the Quidditch Cup instead there would be a Tri-Wizard Tournament. Thats when all the whispers started. I was really disappointed because I was really hoping to become part of the team. Theres always next year I suppose. He also explained how two other schools will be coming to join us in the Tri-Wizard Tournament, Beauxbatons and Durmstrang. Before now I had never really thought of wizards outside of Hogwarts. Foreign wizards would be cool to have at our school. Once Dumbledore finished his speech we all started eating and mumbling to each other about the Tri-Wizard Tournament. I was really sure what it was about but I remember James mentioning something about his Dad participating in it. The feast was amazing. I had so much food I dont think i will need to eat for days. Classes start soon so I better go to bed early. I wonder who will enter the Tournament.....*yawn*

We went to Kings cross today. We got there in just enough time to enter platform 9 3/4s and aboard the hogwarts express. I sat in a compartment with a couple of other Gryffindors and i even made some new friends as i am still kind of shy. I got a couple of pies and chocolate frogs to eat. I read the quibbler and had a quick glance through the Daily Phrophet. When we were nearly there i changed into my Gryffindor robes. Then I talked to a couple of fellow students, so it wasnt a to bad trip. I can't wait to see the sorting ceremony. Better get ready for the feast.
